Brochure design
Something to leave behind.
Brochures, leaflets, menus and price lists: designed, written if you need it, and printed. For the jobs where a website is not in the room and a piece of paper is.
What we do
What we design
-
Brochures
Multi-page, for when the buying decision takes a while and involves more than one person. Common for anything specified, quoted or approved by a committee.
-
Leaflets and flyers
Single sheets that have to work in about three seconds: through a door, on a counter, handed over at a show.
-
Menus and price lists
The most-read piece of print any hospitality business owns, and the one most often left to a word processor.
-
Product and service sheets
One page per thing you sell. Useful for trades and suppliers who need to answer a specific question without printing everything.
Detail
Print and web are not the same job
A brochure cannot be scrolled, searched or updated. Everything has to be on the page, in the right order, and right first time, which makes the writing and the sequence more important than on a website, not less.
It also has to survive being printed. That means artwork set up properly: the right colour space, images at a resolution that holds up on paper, bleed where the ink runs off the edge, fonts embedded, and a proof you actually check. Sending a screen-ready PDF to a printer is how businesses end up with five hundred copies of something that looks grey.
Where print still earns its place is the moment a website cannot reach. A quote left on a kitchen table. A menu on a pub table. A leaflet through a door on a street you have just worked on. Those are situations where paper does a job the website cannot.
We handle the printing too if you want us to, or supply press-ready artwork to a printer you already use. We are not going to insist on being in the middle of that.
What it costs
Quoted per job, because a two-sided leaflet and a sixteen-page brochure have nothing in common except paper. Tell us the format, roughly how many pages, whether you need the words writing and how many copies, and you will get a price for design and for print separately, so you can see what each part costs.
FAQs
Questions about print
Do you write the content as well?
Yes, the same as for websites. Say so at the start and we will build it into the quote.
Can you use my existing printer?
Yes. We will supply press-ready artwork to their specification. If you would rather we arranged the printing, we can do that instead.
What do you need from me?
Your logo, ideally the vector original. Any photographs you own, and the facts. If the artwork is missing or the photos are low resolution, we will tell you before it becomes a problem on press.
How long does it take?
Design is usually a few days once we have everything. Printing depends on the printer and the finish, and we will give you a real date rather than an optimistic one.
