Business cards

The cheapest thing you own that says who you are.

Designed and printed properly. A card costs pennies and still gets handed over at the exact moment someone is deciding whether to trust you.

What we do

What we do

  • Design

Set to match your website and your signage, so the three do not look like three different companies. Legible type at actual size, and everything a customer needs to reach you.

  • Print

Arranged and delivered, on stock that feels like something. There is a real difference between a 350gsm card and the flimsy one, and people notice it in their hand without knowing why.

  • Finishes

Matt, gloss, soft-touch, spot UV, rounded corners if you must. We will tell you which are worth the money for your trade and which are not.

  • Other stationery

Letterheads, compliment slips, invoices, appointment cards, loyalty cards. Same set-up, same look.

Detail

What makes a card work

Legibility first. Name, what you do, and the one number you want ringing, at a size somebody can read without holding it at arm's length. Seven-point grey text on a white card is a design decision that costs you calls.

Then the back. Most cards waste it. A short list of what you actually do, or the areas you cover, turns a contact card into a small advert, particularly for trades, where the person holding it may not know you also do the other thing.

Then the stock. This is the one place where spending slightly more is obviously worth it, because it is the only part of your branding that people physically touch.

And keep the URL on there. A card gets someone as far as looking you up; the website closes it. The two are a pair.

What it costs

Design and print are quoted together, and the price depends mostly on quantity, stock and finish. Tell us roughly how many you need and we will come back with the options and what each one actually costs.

FAQs

Questions about cards

Can you match my existing branding?

Yes. Send us whatever artwork you have. If the only logo you can find is a low-resolution image lifted off your own website, we will redraw it properly first. That is a common situation and a fixable one.

Do I have to have the printing done through you?

No. We can supply press-ready artwork to your own printer instead.

How many should I order?

Enough that you are not rationing them, but not so many that a phone number change writes off a box of two thousand. For most small businesses a few hundred is the sensible answer.

Can you do QR codes?

Yes, and they are genuinely useful on a card: to your website, or straight to a review page. Just not instead of a phone number.

Need cards that match the rest of it?

Tell us what you have already, or that you have nothing yet. Either is fine, and we will quote for what you actually need.
