Website Care, £29/month. Hosting, WordPress updates tested before they go live, backups, security monitoring and small content changes, all handled for you. It is optional, and the site is yours either way.
Prices are for the design and build of the website. There is no setup fee and nothing gets added at the end that was not discussed at the start.
Need a page or two more than the package allows? We will quote for the extra pages before you commit to anything, so you know the full cost up front.

Side by side
The larger packages are not a better version of the same thing. They are more room. The build quality does not change with the price.

Paying
How payment works
50% to start, 50% when it goes live.
Half when we start, half when it goes live. The deposit is what books the time and begins the work; the balance is due once you have seen the finished site and signed it off.
One agreed round of revisions is included. That means you look over the draft, send back everything you want changed in one go, and we work through it. It is a genuine round, not a token one, but it is a round of revisions to what was agreed, not a redesign. If you decide halfway through that the whole thing should go a different direction, that is a new scope and we will quote it rather than absorb it quietly and resent it.
Website Care, if you take it, starts the month after the site goes live and can be cancelled whenever you like. There is no minimum term and no exit fee. If you leave, we help you move the site.
Malnor is not currently VAT registered, so the prices above are the prices you pay. If that changes, this page changes with it.
FAQs
Questions about price
Why is this cheaper than the quotes I have had?
Mostly because there is no agency behind it: no account manager, no project manager, no office, no sales team whose time has to be covered by your invoice. The work is the same work; there is just less between you and the person doing it. What you do not get is a large team on standby, and for a five-page business website you do not need one.
Is £400 really the whole cost?
For the build, yes. The two ongoing costs any website has are the domain, which is usually £10–£15 a year, and hosting. If you take Website Care at £29 a month, hosting is in that. If you host elsewhere, you pay whoever you host with. We will tell you what those cost before you commit, not after.
What makes a project "advanced"?
Anything where the website has to do a job rather than describe one. A searchable, filterable stock list. Online booking. A directory. Pulling data in from a system you already use. The A & J Plant site is a good example: a machinery listing with individual pages per machine and a sold archive. Those get scoped and quoted individually.
Do you take payment plans?
The standard terms are half and half. If that is genuinely a problem, ask. It is a conversation, not a policy.
Is Website Care compulsory?
No, and it never has been. It exists because plenty of people would rather someone else worried about updates and backups. If you would rather host it yourself, the site is yours to take.
What if I want to leave?
Then you leave. The domain is in your name, the site is yours, and we will help you move it rather than making the process awkward. Lock-in is a business model, not a service.
