Web design for electricians

Half your best work is a certificate somebody needs.

Landlord certificates, EICRs, consumer unit upgrades, EV chargers. Regular, specified, searched-for work that most electricians' websites bury under a general list of services.

  • From £400
  • A page per certificate and service
  • Content written for you

The problem

Three customers, three different websites

Electrical work is unusual: the same firm serves three groups who behave nothing like each other.

  • The homeowner wants reassurance

Extra sockets, a rewire, lights, a fault. They are mainly checking you are properly registered and that you will turn up when you say. Registration is the single thing they look for, and it should not be hidden on an About page.

  • The landlord or agent wants a price and a date

An EICR before a tenancy, and a deadline. This is repeat, predictable work and it is bought almost entirely on availability and price. A page that says what an EICR costs and how quickly you can do one converts landlords immediately.

  • The commercial customer wants competence

Shops, offices, farms, industrial units. They want to see you have done work at their scale and understand testing, inspection and compliance. This is where a general domestic site loses the job.

  • And then there is EV charging

A genuine growth area with its own searches, its own grants and its own customer, who is usually researching carefully. It deserves its own page rather than a bullet point.

What it needs

What an electrician's website needs

Specific pages for specific jobs.

Your registration, stated plainly

Whichever scheme you are registered with, with the number. It is the first thing a careful customer checks and the easiest reassurance you will ever give. State only what you actually hold.

A page per named job

EICR, landlord certificate, consumer unit replacement, rewiring, EV charger installation, PAT testing, outdoor lighting. These are separate searches by separate people who want different answers.

Clarity on domestic versus commercial

If you do both, say so and show both. If you would rather have more of one, build the site so it leads with that.

Structure

The pages we would build

This is a trade where the ten-page package genuinely pays for itself, because each of those services is a separate way of being found.

  • Home

What you do, your registration, where you work, how to get hold of you.

  • Domestic electrical work

Rewiring, sockets, lighting, faults, consumer units.

  • EICRs and landlord certificates

What the report is, what it covers, how long it takes, what it costs. Landlords buy from this page.

  • EV charger installation

Its own page. Growing area, distinct customer, and one that rewards a proper explanation.

  • Commercial and agricultural

Where you take it on. Farms in particular are a real market round here and rarely spoken to directly.

  • Areas covered

    Named towns and villages.

  • Contact

Phone first, plus a form for the non-urgent enquiries.

FAQs

Questions from electricians

Is a website worth it when I am booked up on referrals?

It changes what you get booked up with. Referral work is whatever comes; a website with a strong EICR page brings landlords and agents, which is repeat, scheduled work you can plan around rather than react to.

Should I put prices on for certificates?

For an EICR, usually yes. It is a defined job and landlords are comparing on price and availability. Hiding it means they ring somebody who published it. For general work, a call-out or hourly rate is enough.

Can you display my registration logo?

If you are genuinely registered and the scheme permits it, yes. We will never put a scheme badge on a site without confirming the registration is current. It is checkable, and being wrong about it is far worse than not showing it.

What about emergency call-outs?

If you offer them, that needs to be obvious in the first second and the number needs to be tappable. If you do not, say that too. It saves you being rung at midnight by someone who has misread the site.
